What this guide covers
Many businesses operate as one NidusCore business with one or more business profiles — separate brands, currencies, or legal entities under the same account.
Business profiles
Each profile includes:
- Name — displayed in context switchers and on records tied to the profile
- Default flag — one profile is the business default for new records
- Currency code — default currency for estimates, POs, and accounting scoped to that profile
- Timezone — optional override per profile
- Linked address — optional primary address for the profile
Members can be assigned to specific profiles so they only work in permitted entities.
Addresses tab
The Addresses tab stores normalized address records your business reuses across:
- Business profile primary addresses
- Client location addresses (referenced from client records)
Each address shows whether it is linked to profiles or client locations. Addresses used only by client locations may be hidden from the business-address list to avoid accidental edits to client-owned locations.
When to add a second profile
Common reasons:
- US and Canadian entities with different currencies
- Separate brands under one operating team
- Distinct accounting/reporting boundaries
New clients, projects, and estimates inherit the creator's active business profile unless explicitly changed.
