What this guide covers

The Teams page (/app/teams) is the operational hub for leads and managers — distinct from Settings → Teams, which configures roster defaults.

Who can access Teams

You see this page when:

  • You are Owner/Admin (all teams), or
  • You belong to at least one team, lead a team, or approve requests/shifts for a team

Users with team_view = none and no team affiliations are redirected away.

Tabs

TabPurpose
OverviewTeam rosters, member context, payroll period selector
CalendarTeam-scoped schedule view
RequestsTime-off / away requests (my vs managed)
Shift approvalsPending shifts requiring lead approval (when enabled)

Shift approval visibility depends on team lead configuration in Settings → Teams (shift member scope and approver roles).

Relationship to Accounting

Approved shifts flow into Accounting → Payroll / Shifts for payroll reviewers. Wage rates are maintained under User Wages.

Configure clock-in rules under Shift Log Settings and Project Time Settings in Accounting.

Shared time kiosk

When Enable shared-device kiosk is on in Settings → General, Basic-role users clock in from a kiosk panel on the business dashboard (/app). Kiosk codes remain scoped to the active business context.
