What this guide covers

NidusCore connects clock-in shift logs, project time, and payroll periods for labor cost tracking.

Payroll settings

Configure:

  • Current pay period start/end dates
  • Pay frequency expectations
  • Overtime rules for payroll (distinct from project-cost overtime on Project Time Settings)
  • Period close workflow — closing a period and opening the next

Only users with payroll settings permission can change period boundaries.

User wages

User Wages stores pay rates per membership:

  • Hourly or salary-style entries (as configured for your business)
  • Effective dates for wage changes
  • Visibility restricted to roles with accounting_user_wages_access

Wage data feeds shift cost calculations and payroll reporting. It does not automatically sync to external payroll providers unless integrated via exports.

Payroll / Shifts tab

The Payroll / Shifts tab is the operational view for:

  • Open and completed shift logs
  • Clock-out corrections
  • Shift approval for payroll inclusion
  • Linked project time entries during a shift

Managers approve or reject shifts before payroll close. Edits respect shift log settings (see Project time and shift log settings).

Employee experience

Staff clock in from:

  • The dashboard Clock in control (when permitted)
  • Track project time on projects
  • Kiosk mode when enabled in General settings

Their shifts appear here for payroll reviewers.
