Media and design requests

Track creative deliverables, internal review stages, and client approval for media and design work.

Last updated May 21, 2026

What this guide covers

Media & Design (/app/media-requests, also /app/media-design) manages creative requests tied to projects — files, review stages, and optional client approval.

Request list

The list shows request name, project, status, due date, and assignment indicators. Filter by status or scope (My requests vs all requests) based on your permissions.

Media request numbers use the Media Request Prefix and counter from business settings (e.g. MDR-DOCS-001).

Status workflow

Typical progression:

  1. Draft — internal preparation
  2. Ready for team lead review — awaiting lead sign-off
  3. Ready for sales rep review — sales/account review
  4. Sent for client approval — client portal review (when used)
  5. Approved or Rejected — final outcomes

Team leads, owners, and admins can revert certain approved states when your policy allows rework.

Request detail

Open a request to manage:

  • Files and versions with per-file approval status
  • Discussion threads (internal, collaborator, and client-facing channels depending on role)
  • Due dates and calendar visibility
  • Milestone linkage on the project timeline
  • Client visibility — controls portal exposure

Project detail includes a Media & Design tab (?tab=media-design) scoped to that project.

Permissions

Separate keys govern page access, request visibility (view_own / view_all), PM-scoped requests, and discussion channels. Project managers may gain broader request visibility on their projects even with own-level base access.
