Visualize milestones, tasks, and work orders on a timeline from the project Gantt tab.

What this guide covers

The Gantt tab on a project detail page shows a timeline of schedulable project work.

Open any project and select Gantt (?tab=gantt).

What appears on the Gantt

Depending on data and permissions, the chart can include:

  • Milestones — key dates and deliverable markers
  • Tasks — bars from start_date through due_date when those fields are set
  • Work orders — when add_to_gantt is enabled on the work order

Items respect client visibility flags — client-visible milestones/tasks may also appear in the client portal project view when configured.

Interacting with the chart

  • Pan and zoom the timeline to focus on a date range
  • Open linked records from bar clicks (behavior depends on item type)
  • Adjust dates on tasks and milestones from their detail editors; the Gantt refreshes when dates change
  • Tasks hub — list-first task management across the business
  • Business calendar — personal unified calendar across projects, tasks, work orders, estimates, and media requests
  • Work orders — field work scheduled with templates and priorities
